Campaign trivia du jour

There isn’t much to note from the municipal campaign just now, with neither Union nor Vision having launched a proper platform yet. The mayoral candidates have chosen running mates and candidates are being a little offhand about filing their nomination papers; Richard Bergeron would like to extend tonight’s deadline for voter registration and do something to motivate younger folks to vote. But none of this is exactly gripping, with the Coderre fuss going on at the federal level, the question of openly using Hydro-Quebec as a cash cow percolating on the provincial, and Guy Laliberté at the space station.
