Café Cléopâtre: developer about to give up
The SDA, which wanted to turn the whole west side of the lower Main into a glass box, may have been stymied by the stubbornness of the owner of Café Cléopâtre. Sometimes it takes a Johnny Zoumboulakis to save a neighbourhood.
I’d like to hear what the city is going to do about the rest of that block if the SDA pulls out after deliberately making it die.

Congrats to Mr. Zoumboulakis, but we really need to stop this kind of no commitment development practices the city encourages. They’ve destroyed a neighbourhood and now left it with nothing.
