Closures along Ste-Catherine

Les Ailes de la Mode, which have flapped for longer than we might have expected, are to close by the end of their lease next spring – Radio-Canada says after the Christmas season.

A bit farther east on Ste-Catherine, Priape is closing after 40 years in business. The village also just saw the closure of Le Drugstore nearby. Closures here are being blamed on sky-high business taxes, but also on parking problems; once again, I wonder why some motorists think additional, free parking spaces can be materialized out of nothing, and somebody should be blamed if they’re not.
