History museum looks at the Plateau

Pointe-à-Callière museum is about to open a show called Vies de Plateau; one of the notable features will be the angels that were once part of the façade of Saint-Enfant-Jésus church.

One thing I wonder: the history of the use of the name “Plateau Mont-Royal”. My father lived in various spots around the Plateau and the Mile End in the 1940s and 50s, but he never described his experiences using those names. He would mention “when we lived on Fullum” or “when we used to go to St. Mike’s” but when I began talking about the Plateau the name meant nothing to him.
