Mosaïcultures open till the end of September
The Mosaïcultures are open till the end of September at the botanical gardens, which have hiked their ticket prices this summer accordingly. Even Pierre Bourque is quoted in approval of the exhibit. (TVA link, video, you know the drill.)

Have you see the prices? Adults $29.50, Quebec Residents $25.00 and access Montreal card is $18.75. At almost $30 for a tourist, it’s going to be a HARD sell.

Yep, and we’ve discussed it here before. With an Accès Montréal card you do get a bit of a break, but what worries me is that with current prices it means a lot of Montrealers won’t see the gardens or feel any connection to them, and thus won’t mind if in the future they get further chipped away at for “deserving” projects of one sort or another.
As I’ve quoted Dinu Bumbaru previously: Souvent, les administrations municipales pensent qu’un parc, c’est simplement un endroit qui attend d’être bâti.

Or “animé” for that matter.

Prices are obscene. Publicly financed facilities are for all the public and not just the well-off.

You know, I just spent the long weekend in NYC with my kid, and I have to say that there is no way in hell I would have paid that much for anything comparable on my visit. Comparably, it’s $29.95 for full access to all exhibits and special rides at the Bronx Zoo. I really can’t imagine many tourists thinking Mosaicultures would be worthwhile.
