Montreal: it’s not all grim

As the city prepares to unveil its 2013 budget, a new report from the Mouvement Desjardins says that not everything in Montreal is going badly from the economic point of view – the economy grew in 2010 and 2011 and investments are up. On the other hand, the employment numbers aren’t too perky. This commentary by a La Presse business columnist is partly gloomy too, but sees a few silver linings including the ongoing construction of so many condos.
