Tremblay “made some statements to police”
An official PR person says Mayor Tremblay has made statements to police under oath about things going on at city hall at various points since he’s been mayor, which has held him back from defending himself as he might have liked after revelations made at the Charbonneau commission. It’s a strange empty story and even after rereading these brief items twice I’m not quite sure what this story implies.
Next week the commission will hear from a Union Montreal organizer, not yet named.
Gilles Surprenant says he bitterly regrets his actions but not so much that he didn’t think to sell his house to his daughter for $1 so it couldn’t be sold out from under him. Surprenant will also be investigated soon by the Order of Engineers.

Kate, perhaps the implication is “I shouldn’t step down now, I’m clean, and have been snitching to police all long, I’m on your side!”
