McGill Book Fair is back
Last year I posted about what was expected to be the final McGill Book Fair (although the Openfile link in that story has lapsed), but this year the book fair is back at Redpath Hall from October 23-25.

Definitely not going anywhere. I know the guy who runs it.

Can you explain why? If the sale’s been going on for decades, surely there’s already some momentum there, and acquiring and selling books in the same way wouldn’t be excessively difficult. The book sale page says they’re not looking for more donations this year, so clearly they feel they have enough stock to hold a sale. Then all you have to do is open the doors and sell books.

I’m the new co-coordinator of the book fair, and it’s definitely on this year! Sorry for any confusion.
It was slated to end last year, as the old coordinator has retired and had trouble finding someone to replace her. However, along with my colleague Fraser Dickson, we have picked it up and will be running it at full speed this year. So come out from October 23-25, and invite your friends to the Facebook event (linked above).
