NASCAR won’t be back next summer
The promoter of the NASCAR race the city has hosted for six years says it won’t be back next summer because it isn’t profitable and he couldn’t bring the big names here. I’m wondering if this is final – or whether it’s an opening ploy to try to make government chip in.

The promoter Octane, operating under another name, also was the promoter of the Edmonton Indy until yesterday when it went bankrupt.
