This weekend’s must-read is the unsung story of the urban planners that saved Montreal and without whom Old Montreal would’ve been razed and a massive highway driven through that part of the city. I had linked to the obituary for Blanche Lemco van Ginkel’s husband in 2009, but this new article lays out in more detail how this couple’s influence has resounding effects on the city we know today.
