Montreal metro as art gallery
Radio-Canada has an interesting section on art in the Montreal metro, tracing its history from the initial art director, keen on sticking to representational art, to more recent years in which station architects could choose pieces to suit their structures so that more abstract and conceptual pieces were chosen.
Also some good photo sets: orange line, green line, blue and yellow lines.

There’s also this listing of art in the Montreal metro: http://www.metrodemontreal.com/art/index.html

Yes, Matt McLauchlin’s listing is very good, it’s my index for looking up metro stuff.
(Footnote: Slightly sad that my closest station has no art at all. Maybe I should start up a petition to the STM to get us something decorative.)
