Obit for a heritage preservationist
The Gazette has an obit for John Lynch-Staunton, who died in mid-August. Lynch-Staunton would be chiefly notable on this blog as a pioneering heritage preservationist, but he was also a vice-chairperson of the city’s executive committee during the Drapeau years and later a Conservative senator.
