City lagging on decontaminating water facility
The city’s lagging on the decontamination of the water treatment plant on Atwater – it’s not reassuring when the source of so much of the city’s water is itself full of mold. The best bid they got was from dear old Louisbourg SBC, but the city felt it was too high.

Sounds more like it’s the building itself, that strangely Moorish structure on Atwater. My only source is that La Presse article I linked to.

It’s on the south side of Atwater, pretty much in Verdun territory. Considering the age and the humidity I’m not surprised there’s mold in the building. A lot of it is underground with the Montreal Irish Rugby Football Club Practice Fields (Parc Dupuis) on the roof.

This from the folks who just a few years ago were adamantly against letting the neighbourhood dogs poop on the lawn covering the tanks. Go figure.
