The Scotsman has a Montreal travel feature today with a misdirecting lede paragraph about the Eastern Townships, a claim that the city thinks of itself as Canada’s New York, a misapprehension that Fairmount Bagel is in Little Italy and a mention of the “endearingly chirpy Quebecois accent.” Most of the rest is the usual script with a diversion to the Townships at the end.
