Sports teams in 2035? Probably.
The Conference Board gung-ho talk about more major league sports teams for Canada is shot down by a Toronto Star columnist unimpressed by the imaginary numbers.

Didja read the articles? The don’t shoot down anything, they just express doubt about a second Toronto NHL team in a rather lazy manner.

No, I never read the articles, I just read the headlines and then link to them with misleading summaries to piss people off.
Cathal Kelly in the Toronto Star debunks the general idea of the economic forecast meaning there will be more professional sports here. I did not say the Globe & Mail piece was debunking the story, now did I?

“Debunks” implies that he puts forth an actual argument complete with statistical breakdowns, this guy merely scoffs at it lazily and only mentions one city, whereas the report was dealing with about a dozen. Of course nobody really knows what will happen in the future but the report is interesting (you should link directly to it cuz it’s better than these articles) because it also explains how some cities like Saskatoon are projected to be quite a lot more important in the future than they are now.
