NDP to come to Quebec (for the third time)
The federal NDP is promising a Quebec wing, as some folks have noted below in comments – but not for this election.

From all the orange I’ve been seeing around, I’m forced to lower myself to the cliché – history shall and does repeat itself.

Hope the Conservatives spin off in the province too. In all fairness there IS a Quebec Con party, but I’ve looked at the program, and they’re a bunch of anti-immigrant biggots. Seeing as I’m an official allo, I ain’t going to vote for em.

I don’t see that the Tories need to do that. The CAQ is promising relatively conservative fiscal policy, and since the Tories’ flavour now is strongly western and Reform Party oriented, I don’t see what utility it would have to bring that to Quebec. On the other hand, we do have an opening for a federalist party that leans left.

Considering Charest used to be the head of the Federal Conservatives I can’t imagine why we would need an “officially” conservative party.

I don’t know about the CAQ being fiscaly conservative now… Honestly, there’s NO right wing party here. Being a libertarian, I can just pinch my nose and vote CAQ.

Just hang onto your Ayn Rand medal while you’re in the booth, you’ll be fine.
