Awesome. You think he’ll drop a dime on Tremblay and Charest?

Not while Louisbourg is still raking in the fat contracts all over town, I’d wager.

I wonder if one of Tony’s companies built the prison he is currently locked up in.

Oh, he won’t be locked up now, or at least not for long. His lawyers, if not his “friends”, will see to that.

LOL, good one, Bill Binns!
Maybe this happening now has been ordered by the Premier’s office to silence him until after the election.

I thought Louisbourg was raided & shut down?

There are loopholes. As Martin Patriquin says in this piece on Jacques Duchesneau from last month, “Even when Louisbourg and Simard-Beaudry pled guilty to tax evasion in 2010 and had their licenses suspended for four months as a result, Accurso was still able to put his fingerprints on work sites across the province. He simply bid for contracts through Louisbourg SBC.” I saw Louisbourg logos on machinery on Park Avenue a couple of weeks ago.
Just yesterday there was an example of a business shut out of government bids simply using a different business licence to get around the rules – La Presse also has a sardonic how to.
Incidentally, CBC radio at 17h says Accurso has been released for the moment. Tony won’t be sleeping in any jail cell tonight.
