Since I have a guy from Vienna who sometimes comments on our public transit, it seems relevant to link to this Gazette piece from another Viennese guy commenting on our public transit.

Thanks for the link, Kate (being the guy from Vienna).
It reflects quite well my own sentiments, although they are not filtered by the vacation experience (short-time and summer-time). It is always nice to see the bus drivers interacting with the passengers (in Vienna, it is written inside the public transport vehicles: ‘do not talk to the driver’).
BTW, i actually know the author of that piece, having grown up in the same village as him, and having been taught physics in secondary school by his father :-)

That is the sort of thing that isn’t supposed to happen. But it does, all the time.
