Night-time demo causes damage
A night-time student demo caused some damage to bank windows on René-Lévesque and police cars. A truce is in place with student groups but evidently not all students are obediently following any group leader’s direction.
Another demo is ongoing around the Museum of Fine Arts as I post this. CBC just mentioned that this one is peaceful.
Amnesty International has weighed in on the student protests, asking the Quebec government to tone down the heavy police actions against freedom of expression.
