Quebec backs Place d’Armes reno

Quebec is footing the bill for the seemingly interminable renovation of Place d’Armes (although La Presse should know that you can’t say “a $14-million blank cheque” when the whole point of a blank cheque is that the figure isn’t specified). Fabrice de Pierrebourg goes on to allege that the contractor has had glaring financial irregularities, risks losing its licence to do business, and its stone pavement work has had to be torn up and redone. Whew!
