I walked by yesterday and saw a sign that they will be doing delivery, too. Can’t wait.
Looks good. And I’m sure the food will be good; although I’m worried the price won’t be too good. Then again, it wouldn’t take much to improve on the food during its sunset years as the original Laurier BBQ.

Marc, sounds like you’re also old enough to remember when there were line-ups to get into that place. Like with Murray’s and the Brown Derby, I’m not sure what comes first, the thinning crowds or the lousy food. But they do seem to go hand in hand…
@ Shawn: I didn’t dine there that much; I can count on my hands the number of times. But what I do remember was the dining room at least 90% full each time; and that’s back when they used the upstairs for extra seating/private receptions. I have a knack for remembering years and the last two times I ate there were 1990 and 2006; had a delicious meal in ’90 and in ’06 I had about three bites and couldn’t eat any more. Lousy food does lead to thinning crowds but I guess it could also be demographic and/or socioeconomic changes.
Oh, the Brown Derby, many memories of that, too. We used to get a pile of smoked meat and cold cuts for big family dinners in. At the take-out you ALWAYS had to take a number and wait; it was never non-busy.
