Group plans protest of royal visit
Lots of items on a protest group making plans to harass William and Kate while they visit, but the group’s now notorious plan to hire security guards seems to be focused on Quebec City. The item on Global finishes up with “In Quebec, the British monarchy is viewed with more indifference than elsewhere in Canada” which is odd, because making plans and hiring muscle for a protest is not what I call indifference.

I fully support their right to protest in a non-violent fashion, but I really wish these people could be devoting their civic energies to other, more urgent causes (though perhaps they are as well).

They should realize that protesting a royal visit reveals that you think royalty is important.
