Electric car stations coming to town
As of next year it will be possible to recharge your electric vehicle at public charging stations, first some 240-volt ones and later, according to Hydro-Quebec, 400-volt snappy ones. Rona and Saint-Hubert are two of the businesses that plan to offer the service, and they’ll be available in some AMT parking lots.
Whether they will be able to maintain a price of $2 for a fill-up I have my doubts, once they’ve received a couple of Hydro bills after installing the stations.

i think electricity price will have little effect on the charged price, since i.e. for miev vehicle (16kwh battery pack) the price is around $1 (at ~7c/kwh). the price of electricity is stable (depending on political will though), the stations are relatively expensive because they need to be robust.
