National Post writer mocks the failure of a plan to convert Mirabel Airport into a theme park but mentions, almost as a footnote, that the airport continues to operate for cargo and for the construction and testing of jet engines. Considering the recent fuss about noise at Saint-Hubert airport, having a working airport as far out as Mirabel is an asset to the city. Long-term prediction: the time may come when the place gets fully revived as an airport.

Especially because there’s so much greenspace near by, the botanical gardens and parc maisonneuve just across the street. If the city is going to turn any areas into parkland there are many places that need it more.
