Just wanted to give a boost here for Google Chrome as a browser for anyone struggling to read items in a non-native language. Its translation facilities are not perfect and it makes a few mistakes (when I was experimenting, it kept translating M. Roquet, the city director-general, as “Mr. Pug”) but it’s massively better than the earlier machine translations from Babelfish.
Google Chrome also identifies languages itself and translates them into your home language without being reminded what that is.

Some of the canals on Île Notre-Dame have been filled in with dirt from the casino works without any discussion, and Luc Ferrandez isn’t thrilled by the lack of public consultation. The Société du parc Jean-Drapeau claims they were stagnant and nasty.
