Since last month it’s been illegal to sell cigarettes or other smokes one by one, but CBC has discovered that a certain number of dépanneurs will still break you out a single cigarette for a price.
Once again I’m of two minds. Less tobacco the better, but I don’t like seeing small shops operating on thin margins driven out of business either. It will be a poorer city if the only dépanneurs are the big chains.
