Denis Villeneuve’s Polytechnique has won nine Genie awards in Monday night’s gala, including best film, best director and best actress for Karine Vanasse. I find it odd that Maxime Gaudette’s riveting performance as the shooter, which also won a Genie, was considered a supporting role.
