    Michael Black has an in-depth page on the fate of the Fraser-Hickson Library, which was supposed to resurface at Trinity Memorial Church in eastern NDG, a project (and this is the key point of his making the page at all) about which very little has been announced to the public.

    Speaking of libraries, the Grande Bibliothèque is having a book sale this weekend, its first.

    Family and friends of the two young men missing since last week are putting up posters and hoping to get some leads. The two guys were aspiring firemen and seem to have had nothing shady in their lives that might’ve foreshadowed trouble.

    The Casino makes extra efforts to attract high rollers, who sometimes lose big but (as noted toward the end of this piece) can also win big.
    I’m not entirely sure this is news, exactly, and the relevance of some of the players being Chinese is doubtful, but it’s a story.
