Query here to fellow users of the iPod Touch or iPhone. I have two oddities on mine which have a local angle.
I can't get Montreal on the native weather app. If I type in "Montreal" I get
Montréal-les-Sources, Sahune, Drôme, France;
Montreal Lake, La Ronge, Saskatchewan;
Montreal West, Montreal, Quebec, Canada;
Montréal, Midi-Pyrenees, France;
Montreal Acres, Aberdeen, MD; and
Montréal-la-Cluse, Ain, France. No just plain Montreal; although one comes up as "Montréal" the temperatures are way off those on the
Environment Canada site: it seems to be the Pyrenees town that's displaying. Is my install screwy, or are other users seeing this problem?
Drop me a line if you have any data points for me. (Yes, I could pick Montreal West, but I'm puzzled what's happened to the basic Montreal listing.)
The other thing is the free
CBC Radio app. When I go to CBC Radio 1 and select "use your location" I get Quebec City. The list of local Radio 1 stations does not even include Montreal. Needless to say, my location stuff is working fine with (most) other applications. Anyone have any clues?
