The proposed route and stations of the new Train de l'Est, a commuter line to Mascouche, would be too close to hazardous industrial sites and may have to be rethought. It's also being asked whether it's worth spending $400 million for a line serving 6000 passengers, but that's a bit short-sighted: it's an investment in future public transit options too.
