The National Film Board has just put up
a lot of its movies for free online screening, and this includes classic Montreal pieces like
The Street, based on a Mordecai Richler story (and with the children's voices done by the kids of another Montreal writer, Hugh Hood),
Our Street Was Paved With Gold, about the Main during the 1970s, and
Montreal By Night about an evening in the 1940s. Wonderful archival stuff and it's great to have it so accessible.
