Paper fire was a concrete loss

Destroyed by fire
Once again, Neath of Walking Turcot Yards called my attention to a piece of news: it was never made all that clear in last week's news reports, but the building that was destroyed in the paper fire last weekend was not just any random old warehouse building, but the major train repair shop shown above. I happened to take that photo a week before the fire – it's not a much photographed building because the shops in the lower Point were not easily accessible. The article cited by Neath explains why the building is a more serious loss than I had imagined. Possibly worse is that it was destroyed on the watch of the man the city is expecting to redevelop the area. If you click on the photo above you go to my Flickr page where you can see a bigger view.
