this news story about hearings on the future of Mount Royal.
It's indeed a strange and recurring story. In the six years I've done this blog, Mount Royal has been declared a protected area more than once, but then somehow the story slips and it's actually not so definite after all, and then it has to be discussed again, and exceptions are made, and then more talks are held. Neath is right: the city should simply have the balls to declare a certain zone protected forever, and you don't get to build there even if you cross your fingers and jump up and down three times on Camillien Houde's grave.
