The elegant but disused Bibliothèque Saint-Sulpice on Saint-Denis (next door to the now better-known pub of the same name) has been sold by cash-strapped UQÀM to a consortium that wants to turn it into a bookshop. This would be a good purpose for the building, if the deal goes through – and if books can be made profitable enough.
