Blue-collar workers on the Parc Jean-Drapeau islands have gone on strike: the public beach there is now closed, days after the city's other public beach out at Cap St-Jacques was closed too, for unsafe water conditions. (Although now I see a brief piece saying that other beach, in the far western corner of the island, has since been reopened. )
