STM turns down union's final offer
![]() Now you see it, now you don't. The STM has turned down its maintenance union's final offer, so the strike will start at midnight. It's the 15th strike to afflict the STM in 40 years, although it hasn't always been the maintenance workers who have walked out first. Silly question: the late window of essential services runs theoretically from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Does this mean that, even though the strike starts at midnight, the union must provide an hour of essential services immediately after beginning its strike? |
