Ville-Marie has
rejected the plans of the Grande Bibliothèque to construct a series of barriers to distance people from its walls, asking it instead to
find a more permanent solution to the tendency for its glass panels to
pop out and fall off. This comes only a few days after the building won a
prestigious award for being a "grand urban gesture, masterfully executed."
