New construction: some are happier than others
Public consultations open tonight on the new subdivision to be built on Rosemont just east of the metro station, where the city's old shops have been demolished over the last year. The construction of a soccer stadium near the Big O has been approved in principle by Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, but some are not happy about the attendant losses involved in the plans. Also, the construction of the Highway 25 bridge is pitting the wishes of Montreal against the ideas of the Quebec government; we haven't heard the end of this. |
